All of our guest rooms offer queen size beds with memory foam mattresses, top of the line bedding and hypo allergenic pillows. A stocked refrigerator, TV, DVD player, coffee maker, WI FI, clock radio, iron and ironing board and hair dryer are standard. Along with standard toiletries, guest robes and slippers, we have travel size toiletries available if you neglect to pack something. For your comfort all rooms have central air conditioning and heat as well as blackout shades. Our belief is that home furnishings change with the times so the décor of the house is eclectic.

Rather than creating an eighteenth century museum, the house contains furnishings and accessories from many periods including early American to contemporary covering the nearly 300 years the house has been in existence. Our attempt has been to make the house warm and user friendly.

The first floor Great Room is a comfortable place to sit and talk or read. No TV in this room but always a crackling fire in the winter. This is where you’ll find the DVD collection and library if you’re interested. Nearby is the Dining Room where you will find midday snacks. Here too, in the winter, will be a warm fire burning.

The home is located within minutes of shopping and restaurants. As well as scenic beauty, the area abounds with year round outdoor activities as well as antiquing and cultural events. Tubing down the Farmington River on a hot summer day, skiing the slopes of Sundown in winter or listening to the Hartford Symphony in concert at their summer venue in Simsbury are all only minutes away.
